Description

This King Zephyr was manufactured in 1946, and has seen a lot of performances in its life! This horn features its original lacquer which has darkened over time, but not its original neck. In its place is a TN (Tenor Madness) un-lacquered neck which fits the instrument well and is a great modern alternative. The low-C key guard has been re-soldered, and the horn is missing the key guards that were on its underside. Despite its quirks, it is still a King Zephyr, and is perhaps a good option for a player looking for a great sounding vintage horn on a budget. Unique to the King brand, you will find 3 neck strap rings, and an attractive circular-style spatula key design.
